TWO'S A CROWD


It's just the spot to suit an old blue heeler;
that newly mown green lawn is so inviting.
The most hygenic spot in all the yard
for this old girl to leave her calling card.

Down from the height, the magpie swoops in rage,
the snapping beak tattoos " Get off my turf ".
It isn't fair, now what's a girl to do
when natures call demands an ad hoc loo.

Don't give up your day job and take up being an artist Nev

Sort of thing that would go well on a tee shirt though.

That's my attempt with that wretched computer drawing thing.microsoft paint I think it is. very hard to get it to go where you want.

No Bob, my old smelly mutt has gone.
I was moved to write this little verse after seeing a neighbour's dog intrude into the domain of the aggressive birds. And it's not even nesting season yet, not far off, they'll be after me then.
