The Strength Of An Eagle

Owlys poem prompted me to write this one.
The Strength Of An Eagle
When storm clouds gather 'cross the plain,
the eagle soars, he fears not rain
nor winds that blow across the land,
his fearless wings will hold command.
Oh, how I wish I could take flight,
soar, like an eagle, out of sight,
strong wings will help my soul to flee
on timeless winds, so wild, carefree.
But time is swift, it races by
and without wings I cannot fly,
I'll find the strength of eagles wings,
face up to life, what e're it brings.
