Give Me Curry

I had some meat left over from a bloody big pot roast
I'd eaten some for breakfast smeared accross my toast
But I had so much left over, I'd have to use it in a hurry
so I thought I'd buy a packet mix and cook myself a curry.

I oiled up the little frying pan and put the roast bits on slow heat
diced some small tomatoes and mixed some carrots with the meat
The rice was nearly ready so I set it out to cool a bit
Then spooned it out onto a plate and spread the curry over it.

I settled back then with a rum and coke to eat this simmering brew
but when I put the first spoon in my mouth it nearly made me spew.
It was too hot to swallow, my mouth felt like burning outback fire.
I was so hungry, nearly starving but it quickly put out my desire.

I got the sweats and then the shakes, my brain felt like it would bust
The smoke was coming from my ears, my hair started to combust.
I grabbed the can of rum and cola and drank it in one gulp
the inside of my mouth was burning and went soft like paper pulp.

When things at last had settled down I grabbed the prepacked pack
I was sure it just said simmer sauce, when I picked it off the rack.
But I just got to read the fine print as I headed once more for the loo
They might have called it simmer sauce but the brand was.

"VINDALOO"

That vindaloo is top tucker.

Oh my goodness gracious mmmee, an alcohol drink is the worst thing to try and mitigate a fiery spicy dish , a piece of naan bread and some yoghurt with chopped cucumbers or maybe just cold water, that'll do it.

Gees Ross I could not handle it I hate to waste the meat and was not game to give it to the dogs cause I put onion in it.

Will save it for my son when he gets home from Mackay.

You could always try diluting it down by adding some potatoes cubed and a carton of natural yoghurt - you might find that takes the fire out of it - Did it cure your cold?

Oi Maureen I thought I was doing well to cook what I did. Should have just stuck to my Mc Cains meal.

The cold sort of went by Friday just a sore nose from all the sniffles, I reckon it was from the injection but gees it was tough to handle.

Gave it to the boss as he is sick now so that will teach him.

Nearly sneezed my new teeth out a couple of times.
