Me Mate

Gee's this fella ticks me off
he makes my blood fair boil.
He's pig-headed and he's obstinate
and that's not flaming all.

I've never met such a lazy bludger
in all me bloody life.
Some of the pranks he pulls mate
gees he gets me inta strife.

God help me ! bloody Help me
I'll do me block, fair go.
He's always hanging round the place
and got some project on the go.

I only put up with his goings on
cause he helps when I'm in strife
and it was him that got things settled
when I had that trouble with the wife.

He was the one that loaned me dough
when I ran short of cash,
and when I had that trouble with the coppers
he was right there in a flash.

Nothings too much trouble
he's always willing with his time.
A bit like me self I reckon
dinky-di straight down the line.

He is just like me! oh bugger him
its like me inside his skin.
Almost like looking in a mirror
though his welcomes wearing thin.

I s'pose he's really not so bad
the sorta guy you love to hate.
Ah! now I know just what he is.
He's a fair dinkum Aussie mate.

Yep you are sure darn tootin it does might not be good bush poetry but it is the best I can do.
