A Good Quality Plessor

Here's another poem with a word in it that I've been meaning to base a poem on for many years. A 'plessor' is the technical word for a tendon hammer.

A Good Quality Plessor

Stephen Whiteside 13.10.2011

You're destined to lag as a guesser
Without a good quality plessor.
You can't do a neuro exam,
Or pick a disc prolapse from jam.

You need one that's bouncy and long,
A rubberised tip that is strong;
Flexible, balanced and light,
One that's constructed just right.

Goitre or anxiety?
Give a firm tap at each knee.
Be you humble GP or professor,
You need a good quality plessor!

one needs a thesaurus I see
or medical dictionary
to keep up with Stephen who living and breathing
comes out with terminology
that no doubt a Doctor is using
his patients constantly amusing
when they’ve finished barfing –ROTFL
at poems from our resident GP

Sorry Stephen the devil made me do it

Great that you did the bit of preamble Steve otherwise I could have been mistaken ?

Take the second verse on its own could be any thing.
