Karst
Karst
Stephen Whiteside 27.10.2011
What is karst?
I'm glad you arst.
Landscape formed by aeons passed.
Water pelts.
Bedrock melts.
Surface drops in holes and belts.
Call them sinks,
Dolines. Me thinks
Any fancy jargon stinks.
Then again,
This old refrain
Leads to ignorance and pain.
Superego
Won't let me go.
Cavitating id and ego.
Die is cast.
It happened fast.
Brain is just another karst.

Re: Karst

I am not sure of where the accented syllables fall in stanza 5. Sorry.

Re: Karst
A shortened form of ludicrous, but has more of a meaning of playfully comical not the pejorative sense that ludicrous carries. ( that's my understanding )
