Goodonya Marty,
It is good to have and relive memories of family, little things that make you smile or make you sad are what make you who you are. I spent today building memories with two of our great grandkids.

A poignant write Marty. I love the way you have set it out, like your echoing your memories to your Dad.
How wonderful to have a Dad that not only shared his love of the bush with you but also taught you to love and respect it. The feelings he instilled in you are very evident in your writing.
I really enjoyed this one Marty. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Yes my Dad was like that too. I think that sort of simple
interest in and love of nature and the bush and the passing on
of those feelings from parent to child is perhaps not as common now.

Good one Marty.

Beautiful Marty. I've had the currawongs calling here lately; it's a magical sound and I love it.
