Believe it or not...this is a true story...trooo!...in progress 'at' present....cor!

Me bruvver’s lost ‘is ‘at’
(not the one upon ‘is ‘ead)
nah, the one that’s on ‘is PC
is the bugger wot’s gone dead.
He asked me could I send
‘im an ‘at’ from my PC
an’ seein’ I could spare one
well I sent ‘im one ya see.
An’ now ‘e’s got ‘is ‘at’
‘e’s worse orf than wot ‘e were
‘cos ‘e dunno ‘ow ta cut ‘n paste
so blimey I ‘av ter
show the bleedin’ dense-head
‘ow ta propa use ‘is ‘at’
but I’m tired an’ I’m ‘ungry
so ‘e’ll ‘ave ta wait fer that!

I like it.

My first "at" {@} was about sixty years ago when work for my Dads building Co on the weekends,
I still use my "At" but now I use a putta as well as a a pencil.

Hellooo Dave,
Well I did not know that. That 'at' (@) was around before PC's. And that, about ''at''s about that! Strewth.

Ta anyway Dave. It's just a bit of protest doggerel that I was suddenly inspired to 'craft.' But I thought it was hellish funny that someone could lose their ''at''...(''@''). Me bruvver really neeeds a new keyboard. The one he's got keeps putting full stops after every word, plus lots of other weird things. It makes me giggle.

Go well old mate. That's about that....on that.
Glenny......... :D

Blimey I thought every body knew that.

Like when Noah ordered timber for his Ark it would read like this,

4 of 3”x 4” @ 6’

This being. 4 lengths of timber 3 inch by 4 inch at 6 feet long.

If I’m being a pain here just hit delete an’ I’m gone. :P

Wouldn't get many elephants in there, Dave.

Now I finally understand C. J. Dennis' 'Straw @ Coot'!

Not the majestic sign @ used by master builders and green grocers for eons and eons.

ie. 3 apples @ Tuppence each = a zac.
