Today I attended a funeral for the parents (plural) of Janet, a lady who works for me. Her father had suffered long from cancer, and her mother was on dialysis. When Janet's father passed, her mother stopped the dialysis, having no wish to live without her partner of 59 years. Her mother passed about 2 weeks later. Janet referred to them as bookends...they did their best work together. It's tough dealing with the loss of one parent. I struggle to comprehend how the loss of 2 in such a short period of time would impact.
Some words for Janet..
Sweet Memories
Time passes oh so quickly from
Those dreadful days; both cruel and kind.
Pain lessens with each passing day,
Sweetest memories left behind.
Sweet Memories
Re: Sweet Memories
A tough gig Trace. The only comfort you can take is that they are together and it is what she wanted..

Hello Trace,
So sad, and yet such a touching verse. Your title explains all, very well....'sweet'.

Heather, Glenny
I'm not much good at funerals, but this was tougher than most. Thanks for the thoughts.
