We can swim, but sharks can't walk.
That is why there's all this talk,
And if you don't live by the sea,
I'm sure you see this differently.
I don't want to kill the shark,
But scenes like this ignite a spark.
Killing one's no guarantee.
There's plenty others in the sea.
In spite of all this sad mayhem,
There is far less of us in them
(And I'm not sure if it's a plus)
Then ever there is them in us!

The typos are too distracting Marty, give us a chance to read it and concentrate on the verse.

His normal fare’s aquatic meat,
its oil and flavour can’t be beat.
but man has fished this normal fare –
it’s hard to eat what isn’t there
in quantities to feed them all.
He and his mates – no longer small –
with culling banned, grow ever large,
while dwindling stocks cannot recharge.
They’re preying close to waters edge;
each time they eat, the pollies pledge
to tag or kill, but greenies say
‘leave well alone, and walk away!’
Who has the answers? Yes or no?
Which life do we allegiance owe?
The sharks or man? Who’s wrong? Who’s right?
To kill or save the deadly white???

The question I ask is why we are in horror over a shark that kills a human and a hunt is mounted to KILL the shark.
There are human killer predators amongst us who are ruthlessly savage and they get legal aid to help them avoid being held to account. If they are convicted, always hard because we can never be sure that they really meant it, then we just put them somewhere safe for a while. Safe for them mainly. Why don't we hunt these vicious murderers and KILL them.
