We will sing your praises loud.
Again you've taken out the gold
and you did all Australia proud.

Your courage in adversity
is an inspiration to us all.
when the call when out for medals
you responded to your country's call.

My heart was all a flutter
my legs began to fold.
My palms went cold and sweaty
as your rode off for the gold.

I held my breath and prayed aloud
as you hurtled round that track.
while you carried all a nations hope's
squarely on your back.

So often does it happen
some just can't pass the test.
But when your proud to be an Aussie
it brings out all the best.

Yes champions rise to the occasion
all other rivals did you blitz.
For a quitter never wins
because a winner never quits.

So bask now in your glory
you've earned your place in fame
A true blue Aussie champion
so proud to wear that name.
