LOOK UP IN WONDER

I was inspire to write this after seeing a photo of beautiful tall trees that hopefully remain safe for evermore from loggers
Look up in wonder
Shift your thoughts and see the sunlight as it filters through the trees
it’s radiance so warming – a delight,
and raise up your perceptions, realize that this should be
preserved for all on earth as is their right.
See the trees stretch up their branches raising tendrils to the sun
acknowledging the suns life giving force, their branches red with sunset’s tinge when day is nearly done
turn molten silver coloured from the source
of the endless journey ‘cross the sky with sycophantic stars
companions for the moons now westward road
and misty scarves of grey wrap round green shoulders in a veil
of silver diamond droplets, now bestowed
with such bountiful largesse, each fragile frond has now been graced
with glittering seeds some mythic god has sowed.
Look upwards, see the light, the sky, the sun and moon and stars
and marvel at the beauty nature brings
and then take the time to venerate majestic trees so tall.
Hark! Hear the Mothers voice – to you she sings.
