My Pills

I wake up every morning bout half past three or four
I don’t know what it is but I can’t sleep much anymore.
I think it’s all these pills I’m taking morning, noon and night
The bloody doctors done the tests, why can’t they get it right ?

I take some for my sugar and some more for my big toe
I can’t feel any side effects but then I wouldn’t know.
Tevetens the main one and I take that every day
the doctor said I need it most so that my nerves don’t fray.

Then each and every night there’s Lipitor just after tea.
The pack says don’t eat grapefruit but that tastes like crap to me.
One aspirin in the morning and a Metoprolol or two
then some stuff called Clopidogrel ? a little tablet coloured blue.

I’ve got Panadol in Osteo that’s for me aches and pain
some other ones called Atorvastatin, it’s driving me insane.
I have to keep them all in separate trays so that I get it right.
then set the alarm on my new phone to take the one at night.

Look I know they must be needed for both my blood and heart
but why can’t they make one big pill that doesn’t make you fart ?
So any side effects are minimal and though some might think I prattle
The biggest concern that I’ve got now is when I walk I really rattle !

Not to mention allthe creams and lotions Nev oh and nasal sprays the list goes on.


Life pills my doctor calls them. I'm now down to 75 kilos spot on the target weight so can indulge a bit with the food now at least. Get a bit sick of rabbit food.
