Whistling, Humming and Singing

Stephen Whiteside 15.10.2012

I heard a sweet whistle while walking today,
A beautiful match for the sun's golden ray.
It morphed to a hum. It was cheerful and bright,
And sat very well with the sunshine so bright.
Next came a singing voice. Each note was true;
Mixed with the sunlight, it warmed me right through.
The whistle, the hum and the voice formed a song,
And I skipped and cavorted and cantered along,
And nothing was wrong.
