Tooth Seventeen has been reconstructed. The poem tells the tale

SEVENTEEN’S REVIVAL

Seventeen’s back in business, a reconstructed fang,
in with all the other teeth, again part of the gang.
feels OK to the tongue, it’s fitting into place
like an ageing Diva, post surgery on face.
Haven’t tried it out much yet, still chewing on the left
still, it’s nice to have teeth in line sans a great big cleft.

Ninety minutes dental work, a record time for me,
represented too, in the level of the fee.
Have my time in life again I know what course I’d take,
dentistry’s akin to own a money tree to shake.
Though, maybe I’m too harsh in my critical address,
cost a lot but not a jot of sting or pain or stress.

As a wuss of first degree on all counts about teeth,
to one who hurts me not, a fortune I’ll bequeath.
Seventeen’s a prime example, it’s been through the mill,
four visits in the last six months, the dentist’s in my will.
However, all in all, I’ll grudgingly admit
the work he’s done in the mouth hasn’t hurt a bit.

Now we’ll see just how good Seventeen performs
without any favour in daily eating norms,
a mouthful say, of peanuts or well done T bone steak
these the types of food to surely make or break,
show if all the work and cost has been worth all the woe
or should it have been excised right from the word go!

I suppose that as good a theme as any for a poem. ;)
