Marty, you don't have to understand!!
It's a woman's car, and men never understand women, ;)
So why try to understand their cars?!! :)

Marty, I think the roof racks are designed to enhance your wife's car rather then your wife directly, though I imagine they might enhance her indirectly, via her car.

If you want to enhance your wife directly, you might consider buying her a cosmetic car - one that does not function as a car as such, but looks good.

One thing I don't understand. What if you want to put functioning roof racks on your wife's car? Would the cosmetic ones get in the way? I suppose you could always buy a trailer, though that seems like overkill for a couple of pairs of skis. Do you know if you can buy cosmetic trailers? Or skis?

Cosmetic implants. Cosmetic lips.
Cosmetic eye-lashes. Cosmetic hips.
Cosmetic car racks. Cosmetic ropes.
Cosmetic luggage. Cosmetic hopes.
Cosmetic future. Cosmetic wife.
Cosmetic husband. Cosmetic life.

Good point, Maureen. Cyber roof racks? Holograms? Roof rack video games? Why bother with the real thing when you can just click the straps endlessly on and off with your computer? What could be better than that? Am I missing something?

Virtual camp fire? Virtual star-light? Virtual bush poetry?

Do they look good (the roof racks)? Would their appearance be enhanced by having a painter's trellis, some PVC piping and a bundle of star pickets strapped onto them?

There you go! Mate, just appreciate the beauty of such an aesthetically pleasant uncluttered roof rack :)

Marty

ps. Hey you'd better check - it's probably got the same sticker on it's little plastic roo bar.

Oh just thought Nissan Patrols do have dummy rear taillights but only cause they want them in America.

Interesting if they had a cosmetic tow bar ???

Then you could pretend to tow a van ???
