FAVOURITES
Rhubarb and custard, rich creamy potatoes,
big fancy restaurants with black bow tie waiters.
Skeleton keys on a Halloween chain
don’t think I’ll drink this brand of wine again.
Big bearded males – oh with them I am smitten,
puppies and kittens and woolly striped mittens.
Thermal vests – hate them – for them I’m to vain
Just having one more sip of my champagne.
Who is that bloke there? He’s drinking my beer.
What is that noise now assailing my ear?
Why is there rein-deer? Is the sky on fire?
No! Just a sunset like a funeral pyre.
Oooooh!!!! There’s a bearded man, jolly and smiling
holding my gaze with a look quite beguiling.
Now I am blushing for me he has kissed.
Bugger it, woke up, I must have been pis***.(pie eyed)

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.
