A couple of silly things

An elegant lady from Ipswich
made an artistic piece called a diptych.
She declared " I'm no bogan,
or bozo from Logan.
I'm so smart I could even do triptych ".
Wayne Swan's looking wan,
poor wan Swan; big con !
The sums done by Wayne
show a promise in vain.
Wayne's wisdom has wilted,
and surplus is gone.

Yes, it's not a good look, is it, after making all that fuss about a surplus to change course so late in the day.
I'm not from Queensland. Do bozos or bogans live in Logan? It was named after Captain Logan who features in the song Moreton Bay, but I imagine you already knew that. (I just love telling people.)

I'm not from Queensland either. I've heard unconfirmed rumours, say no more

the bogan from Logan on video was caught
the Judge who passed sentence, he must have been fraught
for bogan from Logan declared was a scam
but there he was pictured the foul mouthed ‘I am’.
I hope when they jail him that they lose the key
for my fear is he’ll breed and then more we will see.
The bloke that he messed with seems was an ex copper
so doubt that his actions were ever improper.
But bogan from Logan – feral SFB
has his misdemeanour's all over TV
Captain Logan was not the most popular person either - think he also has SFB in some areas when you read how he treated his convicts

Kev Carmody wrote a fantastic song about Logan City. Really worth checking out if you have not heard it.

I heard about the infamous road rager, Maureen. There's plenty of the same around these parts Maureen, Stephen.
I like the old English tradtional punishment of putting people in the stocks for the common law offence of " foolery".
The Russians also have a useful legality that attracts gaol sentences; it's called " hooliganism ' .
Unfortunately in Russia it seems that political activities displeasing to the rulers, are deemed proof positive of hooliganism.

Thanks Glenny.

I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and work up something substantial. It's been very quiet on the members poetry ( except for a couple of writers) I was hoping to induce myslef and others to believe that any small thing is better than looking for the opus magnus that never comes.
