The sun's too hot.
The moon's too cold.
You're too young.
I'm too old.

The sky's too blue.
The sea's too green.
You're too fat.
I'm too lean.

The night's too dark.
The light's too bright.
The wrong's too wrong.
The right's too right.

The laugh's too sweet.
The cry's too sad.
The good's too good.
The bad's too bad.

The pain's too sharp.
The joy's too deep.
The wake's too long.
There's too much sleep.

The bird's too high.
The worm's too low.
The fast's too fast.
The slow's too slow.

The past's too distant.
The future's too close.
The mood's too manic,
And too morose.

I'm too young.
You're too old.
I'm too timid.
You're too bold.

The sharp's too sharp.
The blunt's too blunt.
The back's too back.
The front's too front.

The dog's too savage.
The cat's too tame.
Life's too real,
And too much of a game.

I'm too contented.
Well, that's my fear.
