SWAN SONG

Way down upon the Swanee ledger,
we're in the red.
That's where you'll find no mine tax surplus,
it having gone quite dead.
All the world just loves those profits
that from us have flown.
Way down inside the Swanee budget,
lights on, but nobody's home.

Good onya Nev, yeah he's a good'un Swanee . . . he's really given it to those big miners and the big 4 banks cower in fright whenever he gives them a pasting -
"like being flogged with a warm lettuce" perhaps, to quote another Labor treasurer.
