National Weather Report

Today it's fine
At Jindabyne.
It's very dry
At Gundagai.
Cold and bitter,
Mitta Mitta.
Still a chill
At Marysville.
Sleet and snow
At Omeo.
Snow and sleet
At Burrumbeet.
Hailstones big
At Merrijig.
Sunny streak
At Gaffneys Creek.
Wet and windy,
Goondiwindi.
Blowing strong
At Corryong;
Even stronger
At Wodonga.
Cold as sin,
Deniliquin.
Cold as hell,
Nimmitabel.
Cool verandah,
Yackandandah.
Teeth a-chatter,
Wangaratta.
Foggy, claggy
At Wonthaggi.
Skies are grey
At Venus Bay.
Pretty cool
At Warrnambool.
Pretty soothin'
Down at Bruthen.
Likely shower,
Nowa Nowa.
Wear your hat
At Ararat.
Wear your hat low
Up at Batlow.
Wear thick socks
At South West Rocks.
Jack Frost bites
At Valley Heights.
Still no thaw
At Bungendore.
Pretty hairy
At Port Fairy.
Good for bavin'
At Fairhaven.
Freeze and shiver,
Powlett River.
Set the bar low
Down at Marlo.
Set it lower
At Euroa.
Weather's golden
Up at Maldon.
Freeze your a**
At Charlottes Pass.
Take your brolly
To Dunolly.
Talk of thunder
At Kilcunda.
None the wiser,
Far Mt. Isa.
Not a clue
At Dunedoo.
Likely rain
At Castlemaine.
P***ing down
In Melbourne town.

 And all of the above at Broadford today (except fine) Can't really believe it's fine at Jindabyne though Stephen - poetic license I think ;)

Broadford’s grey this winter’s day; :(
time to light the fire.
Must be time to get away
to places warm and drier.

Going to take a moment to blow my own trumpet. Ian McNamara read my poem out on "Australia All Over" this morning, at about five to ten. Did anybody else hear it? I was pretty chuffed, to be honest, though he didn't do a particularly good job of it. My guess is his producer dropped it on his desk, and the first time he read it was live to air, but still, it's a lot better than nothing!

Well done Stephen you can go to the ABC site and listen to the previous sundays programme but I checked and it is not up yet.

Makes my live cross on local prime radio Friday morning pale into insignificance.

Still it is getting Bush Poetry out to the masses.

he probably wasn't interested Stephen, I gave up listening to Macca years ago, it always seemed to me that it was getting to be always about Macca and nothing else!

Thanks, Bob.

I agree, Ross, and I don't listen either any more but still, if I have a poem I think might work for his show I do send it.
