Weathering The Storm
©Neil McArthur 2013

In ancient times when sooks were born
And none had heard of Melbourne Storm
They all sat at their table round
Backslapping on the game they'd found

Till warriors from 'cross the seas
(We call them Kiwi refugees)
And raiders from our Capital
Came on out to ring their bell

And horsemen from the lands up North
Also dared to venture forth
Then weekly came the tragic tales
Of beaten teams from New South Wales

But now the Conquering force is here
Battling foe both far and near
Who steal their men and other crap
And lie about our salary cap

But points don't lie, or hide the woes
Of wounded Knights and Rabbitohs
They herald in a new age born
Of our new King, The Melbourne Storm!!

(Though some saw sense before they fell
And went and joined the AFL)

I was in the supermarket with Gary Fogarty today and slipped a couple of NSW flags in under his groceries that he didn't find until the Checkout!!

Oh I have no doubt the game will be a hard one Keats, would like to have seen Gary's face

I used to wait until all the mechanics had their heads under the bonnets and let out a loud QUEENSLANDER call.

all the cockroaches would be the ones to jump.

Hope Cronk gets off and you are right about our Queensland / storm boys glad to have them.

Yep he got off Bob and so did Shillington. Neither of them deserved anything else.
Neil, I agree. Melbourne is still the team to beat but watch out for the rabbitohs. They're looking good.
