Come Whistle…
I’ll whistle along by the ocean.
I’ll whistle on mountain so high.
Will you travel with me
On my whistling spree?
Why don’t you give it a try?
I’ll whistle with eagles and possums.
I’ll whistle with lizards and frogs.
I’ll whistle with bats.
I’ll whistle with cats.
I’ll whistle with mangy old dogs.
I’ll whistle with underworld figures.
I’ll whistle with dull politicians.
I’ll whistle with spielers
And second hand dealers.
I’ll whistle with showy magicians.
I’ll whistle far into the future.
I’ll whistle way back in the past;
A bright, cheery tone
In a crowd, or alone.
My whistling agenda is vast.
The wind whistles through my warm jacket.
It whistles its way through my hair,
Past eyes, nose and ears,
It blows away fears
And leaves me with scarcely a care.
So, join with the wind and my whistling.
Oh, what a trio we’ll be!
We’ll lift off the ground
With the glorious sound.
You do not believe me? You’ll see!

Re: Come Whistle...
Does this make you a whistle blower Stephen? Or are you just feeling chirpy?

Re: Come Whistle...
Yesterday, I wrote a little reply to post here but my pc was still being hormonal & it would not post. So I'll post it here now that the flaming thing is behaving itself.....for now.
How curious. Both Terry and Stephen have invited us all to go a-journeying with them. Is this psychic phenomena?
I enjoyed both poems, & I must say they gave a lift to my morning. Thanks mates.
