THE EASTER BUNNIES
Rejoice! gilt edge investors
and opulent directors,
the Easter break is here.
It's time to raise the price;
( of fuel to be precise )
they'll pay up; always do.
Their whinging and their moaning
won't stop the swell of groaning
inflated bank accounts, and
when holidays are over
and we're set up in clover,
we'll drop the price ( a bit ).
It's better than the comics
more laughs than in the funnies.
We owe it all to April fuels,
those motorist Easter bunnies.

You should have been a Copper Neville the way you sussed that out.
It also happens every school holidays as well - rip off all the battling mums and dads.
Cheers Terry

and Neville don't you love the way people flock to the shops on Thursday as if there was no tomorrow because God forbid the shops are closed on Good Friday. How did they ever manage when shops didn't open 7 days a week and for such ridiculously long hours. Queues of people at the Seafood outlets, service stations and supermarket checkouts - we'll all be doomed said Hanrahan for want of daily bread.

I was thinking that yesterday Maureen.
I didn't have to be a super sleuth to work that out Terry.

Luckily I bake all of my own bread Maureen ... but I did visit the bottle shop.

There are several reasons why Easter is a good time to stay home and off the roads.

Thanks for the replies Rod, Ron.
But Heather, a person has to get out and about if they have a you-beaut little car.

After a full on day at the park early start and no lunch break
I tried to buy fish and chips for tea last night rang up on my way home an hour and fiftheen minutes wait. went down to pick them up and stood in line for 10 minutes to find that they had not even been cooked, another 20 minutes at least the assistant said. Puts a whole new outlook on Fast Food.
And I had sat at home for an hour without a drink Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Why even take the order if you had no chance of filling it.
Bob enjoyed my home cooked fish and chips anyway.
