Champions all
Well now the rugby cup is over
the Barmy Armies had their fun
and the Poms go home victorious
world champions number one
Now the crys gone out to change the rules
make goals and penalties the same
and scoring try's should be the way
to keep Johnny Wilko from such fame.
Now you know you are a champion
when they change the rules most every day
there's been a few they have done it to
those faceless men in suits of grey.
Like when Tiger hit the golf world
they made the courses longer
the balls go further now they said
and all the players are much stronger.
And when Water Lindrum took to snooker
his nursery cannon did they stop
yes they changed the rules to beat him
but he still went out on top.
At rugby league he was a champion
yes Dally Messenger was best
so they banned his throw and catch it
cause he was better than the rest.
Then Bradman stared at cricket
to watch him was just so beaut
so Jardine brought in bodyline
and they changed the rules to suit.
And they stopped St George in Sydney
eleven trophies on the run
four tackles was the rule they made
just to make the game more fun.
And they changed the rule on tackling styles
to keep Alfie Langer more in check

when Mike Stone sent Wally all went dark
the beer cans rained on to the field
so they banned them from Lang Park.
