A DAY AT THE ZOO

Post by Neville Briggs » Wed Jul 23, 2014 4:24 pm

Talking of animals Maureen,

A DAY AT THE ZOO ( apologies to John Skelton )

Such vipers and galahs,
such dingoes, snakes in grasses.
Such rats off sinking ships,
such stubborn braying asses;
saw I never.

Such jellyfish so spineless,
such spawn of donkey votes.
Such dirty barefaced porkies,
such snorting snouts in troughs;
saw I never.

Such crawling spotted toadies,
white elephants, fat cats.
Such strutting gaudy peacocks,
such bumbling big wombats;
saw I never.

Such fierce back stabbing curs,
such zippy monkey tricks,
such phony sly red herrings,
such bunch of Slicks and Hicks;
saw I never.

Hi Neville

You obviously got lost and ended up at the wrong zoo.
But you can be forgiven for this as there is very little difference;
although the inhabitants of Toronga Park would be better behaved.

I went into a Zoo in Cairns once but it was not very good, all they had was this tiny fluffy dog.

I asked the guy on the gate what it was and he said

" It's a Shit Zoo "

I'm not a fan of zoos myself Neville - always feel despair for the animals kept so confined although of course some of them would not be alive at all were they elsewhere - and then of course there are zoos and there are zoos - Australias being some of the better ones taken overall.

Still like it Neville. :)

Did you mean "fats" cats or fat cats?

Heather :)
