Homework prompts for week ending 25th August 2014

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Aug 11, 2014 11:19 am

A great response to the last homework prompts - thank you to everyone who participated.

It has been said that the Australian language is dying out - all those uniquely Aussie sayings that were common to our generation but mean squat to todays kids. You know the ones I am referring to - A roo lose in the top paddock, to slow to keep worms in a tin, up at sparrow fart etc etc

So here's the challenge - write a poem using some of the old fair dinkum Aussie sayings ... Are you up for it? Go on give it a burl - I'll be stoked if you can you little beauty. :D
