MOMENTS

Moments when words aren't enough to express
the passion that wells in the heart
Moments when eyes can't begin to absorb
the beauty, the splendour, the art
Moments in time when there's not time enough
Moments we must say adieu
Moments to cherish for time evermore
The moments I cherish with you

Moments when fleetingly glances exchange
the secretive glint of an eye
The stillness of time in a lovers embrace
As hour upon hour pass by
Moments in time when there's not time enough
To do what our hearts say we must
Moments we give without seeking return
The moment I give you my trust
