Flies

Post by Bob Pacey » Sat May 09, 2015 12:11 pm

Amazed at how the little buggers disappear as soon as you touch the spray.

Flies

I'm there at the backdoor, there's flies on the bin
I'd open the screen door but then they'd get in.
I'll go out the front door to sneak up on them
I grab the Mortein and plan their requiem.

I peak 'round the corner, a thief in the night
but I find that there's now not a fly in my sight.
If happens so often on every dammed day
I'm sure that they know when I grab that spray.

Are flies so really smart, are their senses alert
they just seem to know when I'm gonna squirt
that poisonous spray that will kill them clean dead
or is it some fantasy born in my head.

It happens so often when I grab that spray
the flies that were buzzing, seem to melt away.
So now I've brought a swatter it's all that I need
I'll squish and I swat them before they can breed.

Made a muffin mix today and in the final stages found a fly in the mix.

it is ok thought I fed the finished product to the grandkids and I think I got it all out.

reminds me. A customer in a café complains " Waiter what is this fly doing in my soup ?"

The back stroke I think Sir was the reply.

You could do what that bloke does who has a room full of flies and trays of rotting carp. He breeds maggots for the bait shop. True. :o

My old boss left a packet of prawns in the boot of his car for about two weeks and only realised it when the flies became interested.

Took weeks to get the smell out .

Ergh! Reminds me of the old story of a jilted lover who put prawns in her boyfriend's curtain rails or something so he wouldn't know where the pong was coming from for ages - yuk!

Funny you should mention that Catherine. I was just telling someone the other day to do that. But one of my friends suggested prawn juice - much better !! ;)
