Confessions of a Fundamentalist

Post by Neville Briggs » Thu Aug 27, 2015 7:38 pm

Confessions of a Fundamentalist

I am a true believer;
Of doctrinal purity.
What is, is right
What's not, is wrong;
And that's what ought to be.

I'm blessed and don't resemble those
Who puddle in the mud
Where they delight
In putrid pong
To fire their foetid blood.

Yes ! I've been loyal and steadfast,
Never swerving left or right.
I mark the line;
Define the grade;
A beacon burning bright.

With all my gathered wisdom
I persist till victory's won.
The prize is mine;
The accolade
From those who say— well done !

Now it's your turn Heather. ;) :)

Thanks Matt. I think we all have a line to hold Matt, the question is why do we do it. ;)

G/day Neville

I agree well done.

I'm not sure just what line I'm supposed to hold.

Cheers

Thanks Catherine, hopefully I have succeeded in one of my aims which was to use direct speech.

Thanks Terry. I don't see you in there ;) :)

Thanks Alan.

Maureen, who said it was autobiographical. :lol: Is that me, oowah I'm undone ;)

Once I've finished mucking about with other people's words, then I might have time to think about my own thoughts and words, Neville. :)

I reckon we are always thinking about our own thoughts and words. Write 'em down in a little notebook in no particular order, eventually we get a pile of " raw material" to build with once we have time to sift through the pile.
