REBORN

REBORN

Existing beyond the great eastern divide,
beyond the blue rise of the land,
the beauty and treasure that countrymen pride
yet city folk don't understand.

I once chose to venture not far from the sand,
the salt and the sea and the brine
But now it's with warmth that I proudly embrace
this land I now love and call mine

The roll of the hills and the waving of grass
the winding of rivers between
the land that I'd heard of, and read of in books
now wraps me in blankets of green

I knew not the love that lay dormant within
my mind and my heart and my soul
This land that I love is a brand new beginning.
At peace, I now feel I am whole

So wide are my eyes, and wide open my heart
with first rays of light of the dawn
I came here to live and to make a fresh start.
My homeland, I feel I'm reborn.

That is truly beautiful Allan. You've really embraced your new home and environment - and why wouldn't you? It's beautiful country. Well done you!

Heather :)

Thanks Heather.

I truly love this new home, and I doubt I will ever tire of the scenery and relaxed way of life

:D
