Ants
There is a daddy long legs in my toilet
there is a frog stuck up my drain
when it croaks it's like a foghorn
it near drives me off my brain.
The mice are in my bird feed
and the toads lead me a dance.
I can handle all those problems
but I just can't hack these ANTS !
They are crawling in the windows
they are trailing on the eaves.
They are all over the rubbish bin
and there are hundreds in the leaves.
One tiny piece of chocolate cake
missed when I cleaned the board.
then this morning there were thousands
a raging squirming bloody hoard.
There is nothing that will stop them
I've got baits in every nook.
I hate useing the insect sprays
cause they can make ya crook.
I suck them with the vacumm
till it is bursting at the seam.
but they just keep on coming
in a never ending stream.
My old dad used to tell me
they mean rain is in the way.
They look for higher ground
when the sky starts turning grey.
Well they have been around for weeks
and we have only got a bit of scud.
So judging by their numbers
we're going to get a massive flood.
So I'll have to grin and bear it
though it's driving me insane.
You can not beat mother nature
and we really need the rain.
