The Flag

They say that I'm a racist because I fly my countries flag
they say it incites violence and me they'd like to gag.
Well I tell ya I'm an Aussie and I'm proud of where I live
and we will welcome anybody who is just prepared to give.

Our flag defines our nation and it has done so in the past
it brings us all together when the hardship die is cast.
I'm proud of where I came from solid Irish convict stock
like mates we stick together all as solid as a rock.

The Flag I will fly proudly as we celebrate in style
and if you want to join us well then do it with a smile.
So if you love our country and have chosen here to stay
keep your customs if you must but embrace the Aussie way.

I do wish the Aussie way wasn't to vote for Clive Palmer.

The only good thing about Clive Palmer being in parliament is that he can be voted out next time Neville - hopefully never to be seen again! I heard he only had 26% of the vote. I'm surprised he had that much.

I was surprised he got in there in the first place. a leopard does not change it's spots and it has always been about Clive.

One of my neighbours across the road always puts up the Australian flag on Australia Day. I went to see him the other day, he is not going too well and his legs are going on him, so I offered to do his flag raising, but he told me that no matter the struggle he was still determined to put up the flagpole and the flag on Tuesday.
