The Bank Teller

Used to have one fella at the local bank who we called "Steam and Dry"
He spent a lot of time trying to get the crinkles out of the cornor of the notes.

THE BANK TELLER

I keep the notes so tidy
All the bundles are so neat.
I straighten all the edges
Oh it's such a tiring feat

The notes are stacked so neatly
All the heads are up the same.
More people join the queue so long
But I'm really not to blame.

The coins I keep in little bags
I count each one to be sure.
You only get what you deserve
And not one red cent more

I'm a trained professional
I really know my stuff.
So you really have to wait your turn
Now don't get in a huff !

There used to be six of us here
Five ladies and a fella.
Now I'm on my own all day
With one automatic teller.

Make sure you've filled your forms out
I know three copies are a pain.
But it must be all completed right
Or it's back you go again.

I'd like to spend some time with you
Oh please don't start to cry !
The queue is out the door now
So I really have to fly.

The banks must have their profits
But one day they just might see
That the money that their using
Still belongs to you and me.

G'day Bob, (and Neville)

Do you remember when the notes were paper? I knew a lady who used to iron hers if they got too scrunched up. She'd be in strife now if she tried that!
