The purpose in life is to have fun.

G'day Bob,
Haven't you ever heard of the judges 'whim'? It means that judge on that day may just take a liking to the story line in your poem and overlook a few small glitches. In my own case I found that some of the poems I thought destined for the garbage have done better than ones that I thought were winners for sure. Also you can't win if you don't enter. Go on - you know you want to.

thanks to all,
Naturally I don't know who, but thank you to everyone who has entered the Kembla Flame again this year. I haven't counted them myself but I have been told there are 70 plus entries, and that was before the last batch of mail. Not quite the 100 plus of last year but a respectable number in any case. Judging will begin on Monday when the three judges are given their copies to look at. How exciting.
