Accommodation for Toolangi CJ Dennis Poetry Festival
Posted: Tue Sep 25, 2012 10:50 am
There is no overnight accommodation available in Toolangi, which makes it difficult for many people to attend both the Saturday and the Sunday of the festival.
However, the beautiful Strathvea Guest House is only about ten minutes away, down the Myers Creek Road, heading towards Healesville.
For those who are attending the festival, Strathvea are prepared to offer a 10% discount.
This means prices are as follows:
(all prices include a 3 course breakfast on the morning of Sunday, 21st October)
Strathvea Queen ensuite room - $202.50 (two people); $162 (one person) (after discount)
Heritage Queen ensuite room - $189 (two people); $153 (one person) (after discount)
Historic Double ensuite room - $171 (two people); $144 (one person) (after discount)
Historic Double (shared bathroom) - $140 (two people); $120 (one person) (no discount)

Strathvea held their own CJ Dennis afternoon earlier in the year, with the incomparable John Wood performing poems from "The Sentimental Bloke", and other timeless Dennis classics.
