GOSFORD BUSH POETS SPECIAL GUESTS

Post by Vic Jefferies » Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:30 am

GOSFORD BUSH POETS

When the Gosford Bush Poets meet at 7pm next Wednesday night (27/2) at the wonderful Gosford Hotel, Mann Street, Gosford we will present as our very special guest artists not one, but two of the very best "bush poets" performing in Australia today! Now I know that is quite a claim ( and I readily admit to be given to exaggerating) but Melanie Hall and Susan Carcary are both former Australian Bush Poetry Champions and between them have more awards for writing and performance skills than most people can imagine.

Melanie and Susan spend the best part of the year traveling around this great land performing and presenting their poetry at numerous and various venues and we are indeed fortunate to have persuaded them to take some time from their busy performance schedule to appear at the Gosford Bush Poets next Wednesday night.

It will be a grand night of very much fun and great entertainment and I really do suggest that you make sure that you are early to ensure that you get a good seat. I also suggest that you bring a good supply of tissues because Melanie and Susan will undoubtedly have you crying with laughter and perhaps also shedding a little tear with some of their more thoughtful pieces!

Entrance as always is entirely free and everyone is welcome, in fact this would be a good night to introduce your friends and family to the Gosford Bush Poets so bring them along with you.

Everyone will have the opportunity of presenting a poem or a yarn before the girls take the stage and we would dearly love to see you join us for dinner in the pub's brilliant bistro from about 5.30pm onwards.

Best Regards

Vic Jefferies
