GOSFORD BUSH POETS

Good Morning Everyone,

Well... it's all happening: as I write this Peter Mace is speeding towards Gosford on the Indian Pacific, returning from a festival in West Australia; our very special guest artists Melanie Hall and Susan Carcary who are normally resident in Queensland are making their way from God knows where towards the poetry capital of the Central Coast and Helen and I have just returned from the Cobargo Folk Festival (near Bermagui) and are busily unpacking and
re-packing our bags in Sydney before heading up the F3 to prepare for what will be a bumper show tomorrow night at the fabulous Gosford Hotel when the Gosford Bush Poets meet at 7pm.

What, you may ask, has all this travelling and to-ing and fro-ing got to do with you? Well, while we are collectively travelling hundreds if not thousands of kilometres in order to present you with a great night out and some of the best entertainment you will ever have the opportunity of enjoying, all you have to do is make sure you are at the Gosford Hotel at 7pm (5.30pm for dinner in the bistro) tomorrow night! Yes, I know some of you do travel a long way every month to attend the GBPs, but this month it is going to be even more rewarding than usual when Melanie and Susan take us on a journey into their very special world of wonderful poetry, very many laughs and perhaps a little sentimental tear or two.

Entrance is, as always, totally free and everyone (including your neighbours, friends, relatives and spouses) is welcome. As previously mentioned we would early love to see you join us for dinner in the hotel's brilliant bistro for dinner where the tucker is always good and very reasonably priced. (Love the salmon Caesar salad!)
A tip to the wise: Melanie and Susan are extremely popular performers and if I were you (and you are probably glad I'm not) I would make sure I was at the pub early tomorrow night to secure a good seat!

Very Best Regards,

Vic Jefferies

PS Haven't had one of these for a while have we? I am told there is a chance of some SLIGHT precipitation tomorrow night, but I am telling you folks, if you stay home because of a little rain you will miss one of the best nights the GBPs have ever had! Melanie and Susan will be back on the road and gone and you will be left regretting that you never saw two of Australia's best poets when you had the chance, all because of a little rain. Get out the umbrellas, don the galoshes and rain coats and be there!
