Hi Brenda
I notice that the Narrandera comp is listed here under 'Bush Poetry Events' but is mentioned as an open comp.
Is it a Bush Poetry Comp. or not?
Just curious.
Cheers

G'day Terry,
As far as I know from experience of previous winners, Narrandera selects bush poems (rhyme and metre and with Australian subjects). I think your style of poetry would fit in well with their requirements. The term 'Open' gets confusing as often it is used by organisers to mean open age i.e. adult. Others use Open to mean that the subject matter doesn't need to be country or outback. Confusing isn't it -- for you and for us all. Good luck. Also Happy New Year to you and to all the Forum group.

Thanks Brenda,
I'm just getting mean in my old age, I don't mind having a go as long as there's at least a bit of a chance with Bush poems.
Can't remember ever entering this one before - but with my memory who knows?
All the best in the new year for you and your family as well.
Cheers Terry

Damn thing just dropped out when I went to post this - had to do it again.
Thanks Brenda I don't mind having a go as long as there is at least a slight chance that a bush poem might be considered.
Can't remember if I've entered this one before or not.
Happy New year to you and your family as well Brenda.
