THE COPPER CROC WRITTEN POETRY AWARDS: ANNOUNCEMENT.
Hello my fellow Bards.
I wish to thank all who have supported my little competition to date. Unfortunately my current position does not allow for me to conduct the competition this year. It is quite likely that I will be making the big move from Theodore to Jimboomba, possibly within the next few months, and so this uncertainty, and high demands of such a move, risks disrupting not only the competition, but the loyal entrants as well. I have given the matter serious consideration and believe that it is best for all if I wait until I am fully re-settled and free to efficiently run the comp, and to even expand/improve upon it in due course. My sincere thanks for your ongoing support, and my best wishes for you all with your writing. Regretfully, Glenny Palmer

Dear Glenny
All the very best with your relocation and new roads in life.
Thank you so much for the part that the Copper Croc Competition has played in the furtherance of written bush poetry. Hopefully you can resume it in the future, but whatever happens, your contribution will always shine.
Cheers and Warm Regards

Glenny all the best for a successful completion to your move and wishes for all happiness in the future.
The Copper Croc has been a great addition to the written poetry scene. Thank you for the years so far and for your intention to continue the competition when you are able. Hal and I have fond memories of the special time we spent with you and the other poets in Theodore celebrating Croc's life and on-going journey and helping to launch the CC.
Take care and may the blessings be.

Many thanks Brenda & Hal. Yes, we had a wonderful time together, albeit during a sad time. I am very disappointed in not being able to give the comp my best attention, but when I am re-settled I will hopefully return with a vengeance. Lol. Thank you for your support to date.

Please don't worry about your competition Glenny.
It is YOU that is important.
The priority being to get yourself fully settled.. and then advance your life from there. Lots of miles left yet.
Must confess I had to look up Jimboomba on the internet thinking it was likely way up in N. Qld. But hey it is just behind the Gold Coast!
Close to Ipswich too.. so you are right in the middle of the real Action.
Don't forget to have a house/unit warming party ....

Thank you for your kind words & encouragement Gary. That's a bonza idea! Plenty of room there for a Poet's Brawl...lol. Consider yourself invited! (byo though
) Date to be confirmed. I just hope we're all still alive by then. BTW that's a lovely profile pic of you. You look quite 'innocent'
Cheeers.

Quite understand, Glenny. Moving is never a barrel of laughs, but here's hoping all goes well! (And if it doesn't there might be a poem in it, eh?)
Cheers
David

Thank you David....especially for your generous & loyal support of the comp. The sale is not a done deal yet....but IF there is a God it should come to fruition. And yes....there is a poem in most of what Fate throws at us all. Lol.
