CASINO COW PAT LOTTO

COW PAT LOTTO

There’s a big event this weekend taking place out in the streets
of Casino down in New South Wales – people will meet and greet
other folks and friends and neighbours and the word has got around
that today’s the day to be here – Cow Pat Lotto is in town.

Four hundred squares drawn in white chalk are festooned ‘cross the road
and each square has been sold off twice - awaits it’s precious load.
The main star of this fund raiser – the drawcard and attraction
is Mandy, an acting veteran cow with eight years interaction.

She’s speckled white and black, perhaps a Friesian was involved
and like all who grace stage and screen her talents are extolled.
Suffice to say, she performs well once she gets in the Moo-d
and punters wait with baited breath to see where she’ll extrude.

The sidewalks there in Walker Street are packed a metre deep
as Mandy walks onto the set – there’s silence, not a peep
of sound is heard – true reverence is given to the art
of numbered cow pat dropping – Mandy gives a mighty fart.

An odour quite horrendous wafts and drifts across the road.
It’s Beef Week in Casino so most folks have overload
of the bovine scents, so no one seems to be the least perturbed
they all stand and watch and wait . Mandy must not be disturbed.

She wandered up and down the street – would this cow never settle?
Hundreds of hearts were beating fast – brave men would show their mettle.
She turned and wandered here and there, with her audience toying
and she batted long dark eyelashes, feminine wiles employing.

Then bashful as the time approached to make her curtain call
she pirouetted on the spot – delivered overall
a wonderful performance – no doubt the best they have seen
and the tannoy came to life and shouted ‘Winner - seventeen.’

Oh there was great jubilation in Casino town that night
They toasted Mandy at the bar – they knew she’d see them right.
‘twas the blokes at the Ford dealership who’d won the cow pat lotto.
They were busy now all ten of them in trying to get blotto.

Yes they do quite well out of it I believe Bob - this is pure fiction insofar as the winner goes - have no idea who actually won it this year  Must see if I can find out just in case it was no 17 :o
