Re: The New Year
Sorry Stephen,
I neglected to say a special Happy New Year to you. It is your post after all. (I have been suffering lately, physically)
Again, I am allowing myself to make everything about me! So Happy New Year Stephen. You do a great job of posting on many topics and in different sections of the site. Thanks for that. Thanks also for raising many new ideas for us all to ponder.
Now, I'll go to my room. (again)

Why are you beating up on yourself, Zondrae?

Re: The New Year
not operating on all cylinders Glenny,
And not acting like the 'me' I have always been happy to be.
However, neck a bit better today so looking on the bright side. Maybe tomorrow I will feel a bit more like 'me'. I have even been looking back on some of my unfinished poems this morning. That's a good sign.
Thanks for asking.

Re: The New Year
You need to get out and back onto the site Miss Zondrae - you have been hiding away and not commenting or posting much of late.
It's a New Year lovey - get out and shake those tail feathers
and swing away with the Swingalele Orchestra - obviously if you are playing in the orchestra you have mastered your ukulele - Good for you

Re: The New Year
Goodo Zondrae. I find that applying myself to critiquing/rewriting is a great brain calmer. It gives you a different focus away from concentrating on pain/troubles/ assorted bastards....etc. I also suffer from bone 'crinks' & was 7 months going to quaks for sciatica, that was just wrecking me. The local bone cruncher had me A-1 in a fortnight. I reckon the quaks know bugger all about muscular skeletal except that the more drugs they prescribe the better their returns are on their drug company investments. They band-aid the problem with pain killers instead of attacking the bloody cause! Imagine....my arm is swinging from 1 tendon & they give me aspirin...?? eh? And they hate holistic practitioners because, regardless of the authentic results those acheive for sufferers, they erode the the quak's investment bottom line.
Now, given that Stephen W will be most offended.. & likely say so, (sorry mate) you now have a perfect whinge poem to write. And if you don't, I might!
I sincerely hope you spark up soon love. But be kind to yourself. You ARE allowed to climb down off the chariot sometimes you know.
xx Glenny

You realise Glenny the next time you go to the doctor with a chest infection he is going to dip the end of his stethoscope in ice water before checking your breathing. Haw haw.
I agree Zondrae. Good to see you writing and posting, we miss you, you have a lot to contribute to the bush poetry store of treasure. Hope you can get some improvement in your health soon.

Re: The New Year
... and as if I am not already down!
I heard yesterday, of the passing of another of my 'disco' friends. A singer of local fame and will be long remembered. The local newspaper will be writing a feature tomorrow. (I was in it yesterday re yarn spinning at the up coming festival) So I suppose there will be a huge turn out at the funeral. I have been writing today.. an improvement in my physical health. Now the soul needs nurturing.
