DEMOCRATIC PARTICIPATION


Climate change is in the heavens,
Pay more tax says Mr. Evans.

Global warming's getting strong,
Pay more tax says Penny Wong.

Save the fish from anglers' sportin'.
Pay more tax says Mr. Shorten.

Breathe the coal dust by the tonne,
Pay more tax says Mr. Swan.

Make the power green and clean,
Pay more tax says Simon Crean.

Many billions now we're owin',
Pay more tax says Mr. Bowen.

Play the game with head-high tacklin',
Pay more tax says Jenny Macklin.

Eat your Maccas, hot and greasy,
Pay more tax says Albanese.

Hang out at the bikie bar,
Pay more tax says Mr. Carr.

Get real drunk on brutal claret,
Pay more tax says Peter Garrett.

Move our telephone to Bombay,
Pay more tax says Mr. Combet.

When the ice-caps melt, we drown,
Pay more tax says Mr. Brown.

In the end, we're in the bone-yard,
Pay more tax says Julia Gillard.

Thanks for the replies everybody. That's a version of an old traditional folk type rhyme, a bit like the old Bells of St Clements sort of thing.

Maureen, one of the police " ladies " used to call me Sergeant PMT when I was her supervisor. I wonder what she meant ???? :roll: :roll: ;)
