Now Marty, where is Australia, the Australian way of life or Australians in that poem. Do we call it bush poetry!

The zealots were an historic fanatical militia group in first century Israel, characterised by murderous terrorism against the Romans and against their own helpless civilian population.
Their actions caused the destruction of their nation.
I doubt very much that a simple ordinary person in Australia who chooses to take part in a bit of Easter prayer and liturgy could really be said to be a zealot.

Sure, they are out there all right. But also there are plenty who are not like that, just ordinary people who have a particular conscience or faith.
Actually I would prefer the abolition of Easter and Christmas festival holidays.
Holi-days were originally " holy days " and people were allowed a day off so they could go to church. If people don't want to go to church then they don't need a day off. People who want to go to church in our era of enlightened labour laws can go outside work hours.
