Lost The Bloody Plot.

Post by Bob Pacey » Thu May 10, 2012 1:45 am

Lost the Bloody Plot.

Now I’d been having pretty early starts
Cause Beef Week is Rocky‘s crown..
Up early each and every morning
For a fast trip into town.

I had a pretty hard tight schedule
and I really had to be on time.
I found a way to set the time for rising
so my mobile phone would chime.

Well things were pretty bloody hectic
The days sure went like a blur.
But the mobile always saved me
and not many problems did occur.

That’s until we came to Thursday
and the alarm woke me from my slumber.
I’d set it for a quick four thirty start
Yeah that was the magic number.

Fed the dogs and had a shower
grabbed a nice hot coffee from the pot.
Then went out to get the paper
That's when I lost the bloody plot.

I searched under every scrub and bush
up the driveway around the side.
I shone my touch in every nook and cranny
Till there was nowhere it could hide.

I could feel my temper rising
oh I really did not need this rot.
If I can’t read the morning Bully
I’m inclined to loose the bloody plot.

I stormed back to the kitchen
Muttering, profanities and more.
No flaming early morning paper
What do I pay those mongrels for?

I’ll ring the bastards and complain
I’ll really tell them what I think.
Cancel all my magazine subscriptions
Kick up a God almighty stink.

But as I came in through the doorway
The microwave was flashing bright
And the time it showed twelve thirty
I thought that can’t be bloody right.

That's when I started laughing
Well it was either that or cry.
I’d set the bastard thing for am
I just shook my head and thought I’d die.

So I sat down at the keyboard
cause I was all dressed and wide awake.
No chance of going back to sleep.
It’s about as much as I can take.

I sat and penned these lines on auto pilot
My brain is feels like an old scrap heap.
Thank god there’s only one day left.
Then I can get some bloody sleep.

Sounds Like you've just about waded through a whole beast by yourself mate.

Enjoy a good beef stew with lots of vegetables myself, don't mind a couple of dumplings either.

Washed down with xxxx of course.

Glad you're enjoying yourself.

Cheers Terry
