G'day Marty,

You're quick off the mark with the homework again. There was one line there I thought could be refined a little on my initial reading:
Martyboy wrote:that's ok I can yabber all day
I thought something along the lines of:
that's fine, I can yabber all day
There is a natural pause at the end of the previous line (a ceasura, to use the technical term), so you can get away with losing an unstressed syllable here. In its current form, the stress falls awkwardly on OK (stress is normally on the first syllable and not the second).

Otherwise, I enjoyed the poem.

Regards

Oh Marty - I offer abject apologies on my bended knees for overlooking your wonderful poem in my paroxysms of delight on seeing Neville's participation. You know I would not intentionally overlook you but the subject matter is on ageing and the difficulties that come with that - I rest my case.

I agree with Johns comment as well ;) and you've got a typo in your title (sticking her tongue out and waggling fingers in her ear) so you get a demerit point for that.

Other than that, as always a good write - sadly I suspect true for many of us as we age - our yesterdays far clearer than our todays

Cheers

Maureen

Good one Martin,

But I'm a little confused by Maureens directions ?

but the subject matter is on ageing and the difficulties that come with that - I rest my case.

Now your poem of course does not have to relate to aging at all - you can weave these prompts into whatever you please. Use one or use all or as is often the case use none at all

gEEEEEEEEZE Robere.......you're easily confused, must be age related     if you don't do the homework you wont be using any of the prompts   If you wan't to use them to write a poem re a matter other than one related to ageing feel free  we will then just presume you are unable to follow directions due to age related problems. ;)

Got it - I think that's what I meant  :?

Good one Marty. I have an old mate who is descending into dementia, he can talk about old times but can't remember what he was doing five minutes ago. It's a tragedy. I can relate to what you have set out here.

No confusion this end Maureen But in your original post you stated

" Now your poem of course does not have to relate to aging at all - you can weave these prompts into whatever you please. Use one or use all or as is often the case use none at all "

Then as above in you notes to marty you stated.

" Oh Marty - I offer abject apologies on my bended knees for overlooking your wonderful poem in my paroxysms of delight on seeing Neville's participation. You know I would not intentionally overlook you but the subject matter is on ageing and the difficulties that come with that - I rest my case."
