I remember as a younger bloke I felt my courage brewing
but I never had the chance to leave these shores,
but I travelled round Austral’ya - if passing by I’d wave ta ya
and postcards home had four kisses for sure.
As a young bloke my imbibing was from my pockets subscribing
to this country’s economy though mine was mighty thin
and I guess we all have lovers who we rate above all others
but for me my only true love was a little yellow tin.
