My Bully

Local Papers are a part of our community Stephen.

My Bully

Ah gees I love me Bully mate
it's a bloody top notch read
I grab it every morning
when I stop to have a feed.

I wake up really early
about half past four or five
but until I read the Bulletin
I just don't come alive.

The paper fella comes around
and he lobs it through the gate
I can really chuck a fancy fit
if me bloody Bully's late.

I make a nice hot cup of coffee
some toast with vegemite in smears
there's no better way to start the day
I've done it now for years.

There's all the news that you could need
from places all around the world
and local stuff that we all want
on those pages there unfurled.

Sports and entertainment
local functions round the town
what's happening in the courts each day
sometimes that makes me frown.

Text messages from everywhere
yeah you can always have your say
bag a pollie or a councillor
sometimes give them all a spray.

I still travel round the place a bit
but wherever I may roam
I still get it dropped off daily
then read it all when I get home.

So you can keep your bigger papers
yeah folks now listen to my plea
our Bully. mate it's local
and that's good enough for me.
