I'm a newbie Marty. Not quite sure what kind of thing you're referring to. A pseudo facebook ... are you meaning that poetry and only poetry should be posted or is it something else entirely?

I'm not sure the amount of 'non-poetry' conversation has increased. It's just become more obvious because fewer poems are being posted - and that in turn seems to be due to the restrictive rules of most competitions. I suspect that is at the real heart of the problem.

It is true that there are not many young people joining the ranks of bush poets. That is a general problem - very evident at festivals - not related specifically to this web-site.
