A quickie? ... quicky?

Post by alongtimegone » Tue Jun 04, 2013 10:51 am

I can’t believe I’ve reached an age
when things I held most dear
tease every effort to recall
through mists that cloud
each passing year.
But even more amazing
as they’re haltingly unsealed
is how meaningless they prove to be
when finally revealed.

Right on Maureen. Actually the memories that did bother me once upon a time weren't those that I 'held dear'. They were those cringe memories. You know ... the embarassing bits. Some times they'd reveal themselves without warning, apropos to nothing at the time. Thankfully the older I get, the less important they seem.
